A LONELY GIRL IS SWEPT OFF HER FEET WITH ENTICING GIFTS AND ROMANCE. LOVE FEELS BETTER THAN ANYTHING, EVEN IF IT MEANS YOUR BODY STARTS SPONTANEOUSLY DECOMPOSING.

With this film, Eden Bartok exaggerates the myth that you should be willing to give up anything and everything for love. Young people have grown up seeing this trope in movies, books, and pop culture, and as a result, romanticize the idea of being so in love that you should sacrifice your own identity, mental, and physical health for a someone else. She makes this visual by taking the idea to an extreme - we see the protagonist physically, mentally and morally rotting away. And she is okay with it, because that’s happens when you are in love! The mood of this video is sometimes decadent, sometimes demonic. The narrative is based from a genuine belief held by multiple religious traditions.
